FCC AgriSpirit Fund General Information

Funding available per project: $10,000 - $25,000

Total amount of funding to be allocated this year: $1.5 million

FCC carefully evaluates each funding request. Based on need, we will not be able to support all requests.

Application Process

  1. You can preview the questions using the "Print" link at the top right corner of the page. We recommend that you prepare your responses using this form before you complete the online application.
  2. It will take approximately 30 - 45 minutes to complete the application.
  3. All questions marked with * are mandatory.
  4. The application will time out after four hours and must be completed in one sitting.
  5. You must submit your application online; we will not accept any applications or additional information via email, phone, mail or fax.
  6. You will receive a PDF copy of your submission attached to the confirmation email.
  7. You will receive an email regarding the outcome of your funding request by Fall 2024.

Due Diligence

FCC's partnership with your organization is pending a satisfactory background check.

Projects receiving $25,000 will be subject to an enhanced due diligence process. The parties receiving the funds on behlaf of the project will also be subject to this process. 

For example: if you are a non-profit, the registered charity, First Nations, Métis or Inuit government/community, or the municipal body that you partner with must complete additional information that will be requested at the time of selection. 

Eligible for funding:

  • Projects taking place in communities under 150,000 people 
  • Charities registered with the Canada Revenue Agency
  • Non-profit organizations who partner with a municipal body, territorial or provincial government or registered charity; Non-profit organizations who partner with a First Nations, Métis or Inuit government/community; the partner must agree to receive the contributed money 
  • Town, city, rural municipality, or First Nations, Métis or Inuit government/community
  • Capital projects that enrich the lives of community residents and will be completed within two years of receiving FCC funding

NOT eligible for funding:

  • Projects taking place in communities over 150,000 people 
  • Religious groups
  • Political groups
  • Individuals
  • For-profit entities
  • Operating costs or debt reduction
  • Organizations that have received FCC AgriSpirit funding in the past five years
  • Organizations that do not pass FCC's background check
